The Network

Greater Dane County Advanced Learner Network (GDCALN) is a non-profit organization of 35-40 school districts in the greater Dane county region.

We have five annual meetings where committee work and student programs are reviewed and planned for each school year.

We work in cooperation with other organizations such as WATG (Wisconsin Association for Talented and Gifted), WCATY (Wisconsin Center for Academically Talented Youth) and the UW Office of Education (University of Wisconsin Madison).

Joining the Network

Membership is open to school districts and educational organizations in the greater Dane County area.

One or more individuals may participate in GDCALN activities for each membership.  In general, participating individuals will be staff from the member organizations with responsibilities for gifted and talented education.

Membership is activated by paying annual dues, which cover general services of the organization to which all members are entitled.

Paid members have voting privileges in the organization: one vote per membership.

Members may also pay additional fees for specific programs and staff development opportunities.
