Math 24 Challenge
Math 24 Challenge is a student competition for grades 4-8. School districts/students must be a part of the Greater Dane County Advanced Learners Network to participate. The tournaments are based on five versions of the Math 24 card games produced by Suntex. You can order cards from eNasco. See product numbers from eNasco here. Work with the games fosters basic facts, mental math, problem solving, and patterning.
The 2018 tournament will be hosted by WCATY at the UW-Madison Union South 1308 Dayton Madison WI (map). Grade 4 & 5 compete in the morning (9:15 - 11:15) and grades 6, 7, & 8 compete in the afternoon (12:15 - 2:15). Individual trophies are awarded to students for 1st through 6th place. Ribbons are awarded to the highest scoring student from each district.

For every team your district is registered for, you must provide a proctor. A proctor can be a responsible 7th or 8th grad student for the 4th and 5th tournaments. For the 6th, 7th & 8th grade tournament, we recommend responsible high school students who have participated in Math 24 in the past. Rules for proctors are linked below.
Each participating district provides a Room Facilitator. Duties include:
- Start the tournament once all students and proctors arrive
- Read the rule sheet. Rule sheet link is HERE.
- Run the database following data entry and table rotation instructions provided.
- Distribute awards
- See full Room Facilitator To Do List HERE
